THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS BOROUGH OF ASHFORD)

(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT No.27) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-

The effect of the made Order will be, on Forge Hill, Pluckley to:
(1) Replace existing single yellow lines with double yellow lines

On The Street, Pluckley, to:
(1) Add marked parking bays outside the butcher shop (2) Replace existing single yellow lines with double yellow lines (3) Install 52m of double yellow lines on the northern side, extending from where the existing single yellow line ends to a point opposite the school (4) Add 24.7m of Monday–Friday 8am–5pm school keep clear (zig-zag) no stopping markings outside the school on the southern side of the road (5) Add 24.7m of double yellow lines behind the school keep clear markings to prevent waiting at any time (6) Add double yellow lines outside the post office, extending from where the existing single yellow line ends for 10m to the entrance of the post office (7) Add double yellow lines extending from the parking bays listed in (1) to a point opposite the post office entrance

Any objections or other representations relating to this Order must be made in writing to: consultation@ashford.gov.uk or Engineering Services, International House, Dover Place, TN23 1HU. Any objection must specify specific grounds on which it is made.

Support for, or objections against the proposed scheme must be received by 12 noon on Friday 19 June 2026.
