Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

(AMENDMENT No.24) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to remove the single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Marden, Maidstone:-

GOUDHURST ROAD – (1) On the southeast side from its junction with Admiral Way for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the southeast side from its junction with Adrmiral Way for a distance of 8 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order was made on 28 May 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 29 May 2026.

A full statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, a plan indicating the location and the effect and a copy of any other Orders which will be amended by the made Order may be examined at Kroner House, Eurogate Business Park, Ashford, Kent TN24 8XU by appointment booked through tro@kent.gov.uk or viewed online from 29 May 2026 at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, TONBRIDGE AND MALLING)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES)
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.12) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act, hereby make the following Order:

The effect of the named Order will introduce or amend existing waiting restrictions (in this part of the notice DYL means double yellow lines) – No waiting at any time on the following lengths of roads in Ryarsh, Tonbridge & Malling.

BIRLING ROAD – (1) On the south side change the existing school keep clear markings outside Ryarsh Primary School from Mon-Fri 8.30am to 3.30pm to Mon-Fri 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm.

This order was originally advertised as Amendment 63 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been re-numbered as above. Hermitage Lane has been updated for admin reasons due to new road layout.

The Order was made on 28 May 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 29 May 2026.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025 (AMENDMENT No.3)
ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of this order would be to remove the current National Speed Limit and 40MPH speed limit and replace it with a 30MPH speed limit in Brenchley & Matfield, Tunbridge Wells on the following length of roads:-

BLIND LANE – For its entire length. CROOK ROAD – (1) From its junction with Pixot Hill for a distance of 240 metres in an easterly direction. (2) 80 metres west of its junction with Palmers Green Lane for a distance of 270 metres in an easterly direction. FURNACE LANE – From its junction with Crook Road for a distance of 80 metres in a southerly direction. HOLLY BANK – For its entire length. PALMERS GREEN LANE – From its junction with Crook road for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction. PEARSONS GREEN ROAD – From its junction with Crook road for a distance of 85 metres in a northerly direction. PIXOT HILL – At its junction with Crook Road for a distance of 270 metres in a northerly direction. YEW TREE GREEN ROAD – From its junction with Crook Road for a distance of 80 metres in an easterly direction.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to remove the 30mph limit and replace with a 20MPH speed zone in Knights Wood, Tunbridge Wells on the following length of roads:-

BRAMBLING CRESCENT – From a point 16 metres south west of its junction with Lower Mead to its junction with The Avenue. LOWER MEAD – From its junction with Brambling Crescent for a distance of 14 metres in a north westerly direction. MONARCH GARDENS - From its junction with Herald Gardens for a distance of 142 metres in a southerly direction. THE GREEN – From its junction with The Avenue and Goldring Road for a distance of 122 metres in an easterly direction. COPPICE CLOSE, ELSANTA CLOSE GOLDING ROAD, HERALD GARDENS, THE AVENUE and THE RISE - For their entire length.

(AMENDMENT No.19) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Horsmonden, Tunbridge Wells:-

THE HEATH – DYL – On the north east side from the junction with Maidstone Road B2162 extend the existing lines by 14.7 metres to the west and by 20 meters to the east.
