Twyford Common Road, Twyford, Herefordshire - Temporary Road Closure due to New Connection Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U71616 - Twyford Common Road From Chapel House To Kings Pitts - Twyford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U71616 - Twyford Common Road From Chapel House To Kings Pitts - Twyford, Twyford Common Road, Grid Ref: 351092/235395. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Aconbury Lane From C1261 To Kings Pitt Road onto the C1261 From Bogmarsh Lane onto the C1261 From Upper Bowl Cottage onto the C1261 Gatehouse Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to new connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 17th of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
