(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER NO.2 2026
On 18 May 2026 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 MPH on B8054 Lye Brae, Cumbernauld from start of the slip road to Forest Road, Abronhill to end of the slip road to Forest Road, Abronhill by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
The Order, which continues restrictions currently in place by virtue of a similar Order made by the Council on 9 March 2026, which will be operation when signage is in place, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Friday, 5 June 2026 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 7 August 2026.
