THE HIGHLAND Council (C1144 KINGIE TO JUNCTION A87 TRUNK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that on 26th of May 2026, The Highland Council made an Order in terms of Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and titled as above. The Order has been requested to carry out road widening and resurfacing works on C1144, Daingean to Loch Quoich Bridge Road, Invergarry.
This order shall come into force from 1st of June 2026 and will remain in force until 19th of June 2026, throughout that period, the use by vehicles of the length of the road specified in the schedule hereto except for by emergency services is prohibited at the times in the schedule below.
A copy of the Order can be inspected at the Service Point, Charles Kennedy Building, Achintore Road, Fort William on weekdays during normal office hours 09:30-12:30.
SCHEDULE
Road Affected:
C1144 Daingean Bridge - Tomdoun - Loch Quoich Road, from its’ junction with A87(T) Skye Road and continuing for 15km or thereby West before terminating.
Restriction Times:
The closure will be in place in sections within the works area outlined above on weekdays from 08:30 – 16:00 hrs Monday – Thursday and 08:30-13:00hrs on Fridays. the road will be open outside of those hours and throughout weekends.

Section 1 - Kingie to Tomdoun 01/06/26 to 05/06/26
C1144 Daingean Bridge - Tomdoun - Loch Quoich Road, commencing from 15km or thereby West of junction with A87 and continuing for 6km East before terminating
Section 2 - Tomdoun to Tornacarry Entrance 08/06/26 to 12/06/26
C1144 Daingean Bridge - Tomdoun - Loch Quoich Road, commencing from 9km or thereby West of junction with A87 and continuing for 4km East before terminating
Section 3 - Tornacarry Entrance to A87 Junction 15/06/26 to 19/06/26
C1144 Daingean Bridge - Tomdoun - Loch Quoich Road, commencing from 4km or thereby West of junction with A87 and continuing for 4km East before terminating at A87 junction
