Herefordshire - Temporary Road Closure due to Rectification of Identified Defect Works

Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:
U72600- Sutton Hill- Sutton St Nicholas, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U72600- Sutton Hill- Sutton St Nicholas, at the junction to Churchway. Grid Ref: 354114/245778. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1129 onto the U72617 onto the C1125 onto the C1126 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to rectification of identified defect works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 24th of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
