TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – SAIL STREET
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, to enable bridge repair works, the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the south-east to north-west arm of Sail Street, immediately underneath the railway bridge;
(b) introduce a one-way traffic system in that length of the north-east to south-west arm of Sail Street between it junction with Lambeth Street and a point 45 metres south-west of that junction, from north-east to south-west;
(c) suspend the one-way traffic system in the south-east to north-west arm of Sail Street between its junction with Lambeth Road and the railway bridge.
2. An alternative route for affected vehicles would be available via Sail Street, Juxon Street, Lambeth Walk and Lambeth Road.
3. The Order would come into force on 15 June 2026 and would continue in force for a maximum duration of 6 months, to allow for contingencies, or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner
