SOMERSET AVENUE, BAILDON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works proposed to be executed on or near Somerset Avenue, Baildon intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Somerset Avenue from its junction with Hope Lane to a point outside No. 2 Somerset Avenue.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Somerset Avenue (unaffected section), Springfield Road, West Lane, Hope Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 09:00 hours on the 8th June 2026 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 12th June 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
