Apperley Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

APPERLEY ROAD, APPERLEY BRIDGE, BRADFORD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Apperley Road, Apperley Bridge, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Apperley Road from its junction with Harrogate Road to a point outside the entrance to the George and Dragon.

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Apperley Road (unaffected section), Apperley Lane, Harrogate Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into effect at 04:00 hours on the 8th June 2026 and remain in force until 05:30 hours on the 8th June 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
