Temporary Closure of Newton Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Newton Lane - from the junction with Honiton Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 60 metres. This Order will enable Southwest Overhead Services Ltd to carry out pole replacement works on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 28th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1st June 2026 and last until 2nd June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 2 days. There is no alternative route for this closure.
