(SANDGATE, EAST VIEW AND BUTTERY WELL ROAD KENDAL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to:
- Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of Sandgate, from its junction with Sandylands Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 30 metres.
Duration: From 16th June 2026 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: TTROW/I8828.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
I. Prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading and unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along the following sections of road;
(i) East View, Kendal (east side), from a point adjacent to East Court, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 45 metres.
Duration: From 16th June 2026 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: TTROW/I8826)
(ii) Buttery Well Road, Kendal (west side), from a point adjacent to Number 22 Buttery Wells Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 45 metres.
Duration: From 18th June 2026 for a approx. 2 weeks (Ref: TTROW/I8880)
The Order will come into operation on 16 June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months, however, it is anticipated that the restriction(s) will only be required as specified above and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
