Temporary Closure of Drapers Way

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended), propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Drapers Way - from 257 metres north-east of the junction with Steart Lane, north-eastwards for a total distance of 135 metres. This Order will enable Kier to carry out earthworks on behalf of Somerset Highways.

The Order becomes effective on 11th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th June 2026 and last until 26th June 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
