(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT
NO. 47) ORDER 2026 (Order 14 of 2026)
Sections 1, 45, 46 and 53 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 7 of the
Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure)
(England and Wales) Regulations 1996 as
amended.
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that on 28th May 2026 it made an Order under sections 1, 45, 46 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers. The effects of the Order are set out below.
2. A new “CP6” parking zone will be created for parking in selected areas of the carriageway covering part of Bath Road and Galleymead Road.
3. The Order will introduce shared use: resident parking / free short term parking, 1 hour maximum stay with no return within 1 hour parking places operating between 8am and 6pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, together with the introduction of waiting restrictions operating on all days and at all times in sections of Poyle New Cottages.
4. Properties eligible for the issue of permits are set out in Schedule 8.01 of the Order.
5. The Order now made comes into force on 29th May 2026.
6. A copy of the Order as made, plans showing the parts of the highway affected and a statement of the traffic authority’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected on the Council’s website at https://www.slough.gov.uk/consultationspetitions/public-notices-orders/3.
7. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any regulations made under the Act has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
