ORDER 2026
ELSTOW ROAD, BEDFORD 26 – 065

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Elstow Road, Bedford Junction London Road to Junction of Firbank. This temporary road closure is required to various carriageway patching and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 05:00 hours from 1st June 2026 to 5th June 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Elstow Road, London Road, Harrowden Road, Mile Road.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1st June 2026, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Bedford Borough Council Tel: 01234 718003.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Gold Lane, Biddenham from Deep Spinney to Peacock Lane.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate reinstate/resurface road from previous mains replacement works and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 12th June 2026 to 28th June 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Deep Spinney, Bromham Road. The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Broadmead Road, Stewartby.

This temporary road closure is required to annual bridge inspection and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 23:00 to 11:00 hours from 13th June 2026 to 14th June 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Broadmead Road, Woburn Road, Green Lane, Stewartby Way.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 13th June 2026, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. This temporary road closure is required to carriageway resurfacing works, ironworks, civil works, lining and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 9th June 2026 to 25th June 2026

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via London Road, Kingsway Roundabout, Ampthill Road, Ampthill Street, West End, Progress Way, Mile Road. The reverse route applies. The proposed Order will come into operation on 9th June 2026, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
