What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STATION ROAD, BROGBOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Brogborough 20 metres either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable a level crossing inspection to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 26 June 2026 from 11pm to 4am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road, A507 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HANSCOMBE END ROAD, SHILLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hanscombe End Rd, Shillington between Lower Gravenhurst and Hillfoot Rd.

This temporary closure is required to enable ROW bridge installation work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 12 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Hillfoot Rd, Church St, High Rd, Hanscombe End Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 8 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Tyrells End, Eversholt from jct with Hills End to o/s Helford House.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 9 June 2026 between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via C100, B5704, Potters End, Tyrells End and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 8 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Barton Road, Pulloxhill for approx. 10m either side of The Hay wain.

This temporary closure is required to enable safe access to the overhead structure for new connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 12 June 2026 between the hours of 0930 and 1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Flitton Rd, Silsoe Rd, Ampthill Rd, High St, Barton Rd, A6, Sand Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 12 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
