(Alleyne Way, Jaywick) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Alleyne Way, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Park Square East to its junction with Union Road a distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2405346 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Park Square East, Marlowe Road, Union Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bures Road, Wakes Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bures Road, Wakes Colne in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 705m south west of its junction with Takeleys for a distance of approximately 225m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th June 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT3163186330032025 – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing and associated cabling works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.

(Ipswich Road, Colchester) (Cycle Lane Only) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Ipswich Road, Colchester (cycle lane) in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 75m north east of its junction with Wyland Hall Chase for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The cycle lane closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AI03165727391 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The cycle lane closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while communication pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

No diversion route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 4th June 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(The Approach, Jaywick) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Approach, Jaywick in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Park Square East to the junction of Crossways a distance of approximately 80m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th June 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2405308 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Crossways, Boleyn Way, Park Square East and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th June 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, City of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (No.9) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 4th June 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

(Church Lane, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Stanway in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 160m south east of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30091259264 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. (Frating Abbey Farm Road, Frating) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Frating Abbey Farm Road, Frating in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 265m south east of its junction with Great Bentley Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close that length of Horsey Road, Kirby Le Soken in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Pyesand for a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction.
  2. To temporarily close that length of Hillcrest, Kirby Le Soken in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Horsey Road to its end a distance of approximately 175m.

The Order came into effect on 21st May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Lower Park Road, Brightlingsea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lower Park Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Western Road to its junction with Station Road a distance of approximately 140m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th June 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001504242 – Cadent Gas Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas Limited.

(Tollgate Road, Stanway) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tollgate Road, Stanway in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 20m south east of its junction with Tollgate Roundabout for a distance of 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th June 2026 – (18:00-06:00) for 2 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (N5004P101480N0024977/R28 – The Electricity Network Company Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by The Electricity Network Company Limited.

An alternative route is available via Tollgate Road, Tollgate West, Western Approach, London Road, Tollgate Roundabout and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 21st May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
