What is happening?
SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL
THE BOROUGH OF SLOUGH WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT NO. 57) ORDER 2026 (Order 15 of 2026) (PROPOSED ORDER)
Sections 1, 32, 35, 45, 46 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 7 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 as amended.
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under sections 1, 45, 46 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and any other enabling powers. The effects of the Proposed Order are set out below.
2. Amendments would be made to waiting and loading restrictions and parking places in certain lengths of the following roads: Albert Close, Albert Street, Alpha Street South, Bath Road Service Road fronting Nos.
135 to 147, Bishops Road, Castle Street, Charter Close, Church Street, Clifton Road, Glentworth Place, Grove Close, Hanover Close, Hencroft Street North, Hencroft Street South, Herchel Street, High Street Chalvey Service Road fronting Nos. 15 to 31 High Street, Mere Road, Merton Road, Osborne Street, Park Street,St. Laurence Way, Sussex Place, The Grove, Upton Park and Victoria Street.
In addition, existing Traffic Order amendments relating to the B and E Controlled Parking Zones would be updated by the Order.
3. Copies of the Proposed Order, this notice and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at the Council’s offices during normal working hours (excluding bank and public holidays). They may also be inspected on the Council’s website on the public notice page; https://www.slough.gov.uk/consultationspetitions/public-notices-orders/3.
4. Anyone wishing to object to the Proposed Order may do by writing to the address below or emailing parking.consultations@slough.gov.uk. The objection must be made in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made, and must be sent so as to arrive no later than 28 days from the date of this Notice.
