What is happening?

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE
The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath No.13/2, Parish of Akeley and Public Footpath No. 8/1, Parish of Leckhampstead) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of Chapel Lane and AKE/FP 13/2 and continuing east for approx. 675M to the junction of Footpaths No’s. 8/1, 3/1 & 8/3. There is no alternative route. The closure is required to enable failed bridge to be replaced. The Order will come into operation on 28 May 2026, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
