Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Wolvershill Road, Banwell, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 1 September 2026

Ref: SW26.27-060

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for an overhead wire transfer. This order will become operative on the 1 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration, between 9.30am and 3pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach Limited for remedial works. This order will become operative on the 9 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming Into Force: 27 July 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace gas mains and renew/transfer service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 27 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 26 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Beach Road, Kewstoke, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 3 June 2026

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of surface dressing patching and will become operative on 3 June 2026, anticipated to be of 3 days. Work will take place between 8am and 5pm. The works will be carried out in phases as set out in the Schedule, with each phase anticipated to be undertaken on a separate day. Each phase will be completed before the next phase commences, and only one section will be closed at any one time. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Phase One: Beach Road from the National Trust Sand Point Car Park to the junction of Sand Road.

Phase Two: Beach Road from the junction of Sand Road to the junction of Crookes Lane.

Phase Three: Beach Road from the junction of Crookes Lane to the junction of Kewstoke Road.

Alternative routes

Phase One: no alternative route.

Phase Two: Beach Road (part unaffected), Crookes Lane, Lower Norton Lane, Sand Road and vice-versa.

Phase Three: Beach Road (part unaffected), Kewstoke Road, Crookes Lane and vice-versa.
