THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(BUSHBURY LANE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council have made an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Bushbury Lane closed in both directions between
its junctions with Showell Road and Stafford Road.
It is anticipated that the closure will operate from
29th May 2026 until 4th June 2026. Vehicular
Diversion Route: Stafford Road, Three Tuns Lane,
Elston Hall Lane and vice versa.
· Bushbury Lane closed in a westerly direction only
between its junctions with Showell Road and
Stafford Road. It is anticipated that the closure will
operate from 5th June 2026 until 19th June 2026.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Bushbury Road, Elston
Hall Lane, Three Tuns Lane and Stafford Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken between the dates stipulated above.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a
HV cable duct by National Grid (Electricity
Distribution).
