THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CORN HILL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Corn Hill from its
junction with Bailey Street to its junction opposite the
multistorey car park.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 8 June 2026 until 12 June 2026.
The diversion route is: Horseley Fields, Middle Cross,
Bilston Street Island, Ring Road, Wednesfield Road,
Sun Street or Sun Street, Wednesfield Road, Ring Road,
Horseley Fields.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a cable
diversion and substation by National Grid Electricity
Distribution.
