Lindisfarne Close Footpath - Prohibit Any Pedestrian Traffic to Allow Works to Be Carried Out on or Near the Highway
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE (LINDISFARNE CLOSE FOOTPATH) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 21 May 2026 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian traffic to proceed on Lindisfarne Close Footpath, from a point south of No. 31 Lindisfarne Close to a point south of No. 25 Lindisfarne Close.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for personnel engaged in the said works.
5. The Order will come into operation on 1 June 2026 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 5 June 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
