Notice is hereby given that North Lanarkshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order, the effect
of which will be to amend the North Lanarkshire Council (Bellshill Area) (Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) Order 2026 as detailed below. Details of Amendment
Add to Article 2
“dual purpose vehicle” has the same meaning as in Regulation 3(2) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 2000, as amended;
“goods vehicle” means a vehicle constructed or adapted for the use for the conveyance of goods or burden of any description, but not including a dual-purpose vehicle;

Council (Bellshill Area) Proposed (Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) (Variation Order No *) Order 20** together with plans, a statement of reasons are available for inspection on the Council’s website at https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/your-community/workingcommunities/consultations or alternatively a hard copy is available for inspection during normal office hours, Monday to Friday inclusive, at the office of the Chief Officer (Legal, Democratic and Strategy), North Lanarkshire Council, Civic Centre, Windmillhill Street, Motherwell ML1 1AB.
Any person wishing to make representations in support of, or raise an objection to, the proposals must do so in writing to the Chief Officer (Legal, Democratic and Strategy), North Lanarkshire Council, Civic Centre, Windmillhill Street, Motherwell ML1 1AB or to the email address troconsultation@northlan.gov.uk no later than Wednesday, 24 June 2026 and must contain the name and address of the person making the representation/objection, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
