NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Chequers Hill, Flamstead from its junction with Delmer End Lane south eastwards, north eastwards, eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A5183 London Road, a distance of approximately 533m. An alternative route will be via Singlets Lane, High Street, Chapel Road, Hollybush Lane and A5183 London Road.
2. that length of Darrs Lane, Northchurch from its junction with St Marys Avenue south westwards to its junction with Shootersway, a distance of approximately 670m.
An alternative route will be via Darrs Lane, Granville Road, Westfield Road, Bell Lane and Shootersway.
3. that length of B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Water End from its junction with Pipers Hill south eastwards to its junction with Nettleden Road, a distance of approximately 1222m.
An alternative route will be via B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4146 (Leighton
Buzzard Road/Station Road), A4251 (London Road/High Street/Gossoms End/High Street, B4506 New Road/Ringshall Road), B440 (Main Road South/Hemel Hempstead Road/Dagnall Road) and B440 Leighton Buzzard Road.
4. that length of Pietley Hill/Trowley Bottom, Flamstead from its junction with Mill Lane south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Trowley Hill Road, a distance of approximately 560m. An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Friendless Lane, Chapel Road and Trowley Hill Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 17 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHRUBLANDS ROAD, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shrublands Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Cross Oak Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 123m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Charles Street, A416 Kings Road, A4251 (High Street/ Gossoms End/High Street), Durrants Lane, Durrants Road and Shrublands Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of
Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. the A41 westbound slip road leading onto A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from the westbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road) south westwards to its junction with A41 Interchange Tring, a distance of approximately 347m. An alternative route will be via A41 Tring Bypass, the B4635 Icknield Way/B4009 Tring Hill roundabout and A41 (Tring Bypass/Interchange Tring).
2. the A41 westbound slip road leading from A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from its junction with A41 Interchange Tring north westwards and south westwards to its junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 Tring Bypass, a distance of approximately 622m.
An alternative route will be via A41 (Interchange Tring/unnamed road), A416 Chesham Road and A41 (unnamed road/Tring Bypass).
3. the A41 eastbound slip road leading onto A41 Interchange Tring, Wigginton from the eastbound carriageway of A41 Tring Bypass north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with A41 Interchange Tring, a distance of approximately 447m.
An alternative route will be via A41 (Tring Bypass/unnamed road), A416 Chesham Road and A41 (unnamed road/Interchange Tring).

(unnamed road), Berkhamsted from its junction with the A416 Kingshill Way/A416 Chesham Road roundabout south eastwards, southwards and south eastwards to its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 362m.
An alternative route will be via A416 Chesham Road and A41 (unnamed road/ Interchange Tring/unnamed road).
6. the A41 eastbound slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), Berkhamsted from its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road) south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 150m.
An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), Stoney Lane, Upper Bourne End, A41 (unnamed road) and A416 Chesham Road.
7. the A41 westbound slip road leading onto the A416 Chesham Road roundabout, Berkhamsted from the westbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road) south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A416 Chesham Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 296m.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shantock Lane, Bovingdon from its junction with Bovingdon Byway Open to All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane) south eastwards for a distance of approximately 64m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Bovingdon Byway Open to All Traffic 007 (Shantock Hall Lane), Leyhill Road, Green Lane, Bovingdon Green, Long Lane and Shantock Lane.
