NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1.   that length of Chequers Hill, Flamstead from its junction with Delmer End Lane south eastwards, north eastwards, eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A5183 London Road, a distance of approximately 533m. An alternative route will be via Singlets Lane, High Street, Chapel Road, Hollybush Lane and A5183 London Road.

2.   that length of Darrs Lane, Northchurch from its junction with St Marys Avenue south westwards to its junction with Shootersway, a distance of approximately 670m.

An alternative route will be via Darrs Lane, Granville Road, Westfield Road, Bell Lane and Shootersway.

3.   that length of B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Water End from its junction with Pipers Hill south eastwards to its junction with Nettleden Road, a distance of approximately 1222m.

An alternative route will be via B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, A4146 (Leighton

Buzzard Road/Station Road), A4251 (London Road/High Street/Gossoms End/High Street, B4506 New Road/Ringshall Road), B440 (Main Road South/Hemel Hempstead Road/Dagnall Road) and B440 Leighton Buzzard Road.

4.   that length of Pietley Hill/Trowley Bottom, Flamstead from its junction with Mill Lane south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Trowley Hill Road, a distance of approximately 560m. An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, Friendless Lane, Chapel Road and Trowley Hill Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 17 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shrublands Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Cross Oak Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 123m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Charles Street, A416 Kings Road, A4251 (High Street/ Gossoms End/High Street), Durrants Lane, Durrants Road and Shrublands Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(unnamed road), Berkhamsted from its junction with the A416 Kingshill Way/A416 Chesham Road roundabout south eastwards, southwards and south eastwards to its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 362m.

An alternative route will be via A416 Chesham Road and A41 (unnamed road/ Interchange Tring/unnamed road).

6.  the A41 eastbound slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), Berkhamsted from its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road) south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 150m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), Stoney Lane, Upper Bourne End, A41 (unnamed road) and A416 Chesham Road.

8.  the A41 westbound slip road leading from the A416 Chesham Road roundabout, Berkhamsted from its junction with the A416 Chesham Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with the westbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 216m.

An alternative route will be via A416 Chesham Road, A41 (unnamed road), Stoney Lane, Upper Bourne End and A41 (unnamed road).

9.  that length of Stoney Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its westernmost junction with A41 (unnamed road) north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 187m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), A4251 London Road, A41 (unnamed road), Upper Bourne End Lane and Stoney Lane or via Stoney Lane, Upper Bourne End Lane, A41 (unnamed road), A416 Chesham Road and A41 (unnamed road).

10.that length of Upper Bourne End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from a point 184m south east of its junction with the Stoney Lane roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 220m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), the A4251 Watford Road/A41 Watford Road roundabout, A41 (unnamed road) and the A41 Two Waters Way Intersection.

20.the A41 southbound slip road leading from the A41 Two Waters Way

Intersection, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A41 Two Waters Way Intersection south eastwards to its junction with the southbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 638m. An alternative route will be via the A41 Two Waters Way Intersection, A41 (unnamed road), A4251 London Road and A41 (unnamed road).

21.the A41 northbound slip road leading onto the A41 Two Waters Way

Intersection, Hemel Hempstead from the northbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road) north westwards to its junction with the A41 Two Waters Way Intersection, a distance of approximately 476m.

An alternative route will be via A41 (unnamed road), A4251 London Road, A41 (unnamed road) and the A41 Two Waters Way Intersection.

22.the A41 northbound slip road leading from the A41 Two Waters Way
