off-street parking places, Bury St Edmunds, variation order No 6 (2026)

Notice is hereby given that West Suffolk Council in accordance with S35c Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to vary the chargeable hours for one off-street car park in Bury St Edmunds as specified in this notice. This Notice will come into operation on Monday 15 June 2026.

Car Park Current Chargeable Hours Varied Chargeable Hours from 15 June 2026
Cattlemarket Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm
Sundays and Bank Holiday 10am to 4pm
Monday 10am to 8pm
Tuesday to Saturday 8am to 8pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am to 4pm

Persons having comments concerning this notice may email parking@westsuffolk.gov.uk or write to West Suffolk Council, Admin Office Level 6, Parkway Multi-Storey Car Park, Parkway, Bury St Edmunds IP33 3BA within 21 days from the date of this Notice.

Statement of Reasons
This variation to the existing Traffic Regulation Order for public car parks in West Suffolk Council area is being made to allow the following provisions:
To encourage parking demand by allowing free parking until 10am on a Monday.
