ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8100 BUGGS LANE, BRETTENHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8100 Buggs Lane, Brettenham from The Street for 30 metres north eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, Buggs Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/05/2026 from 8am - 5pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1063 EDMUNDS HILL, STRADISHALL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1063 Edmunds Hill, Stradishall from 800 metres southwest of the A143 for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A143, the B1061, the A1017, the A1092 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/05/2026 from 9am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1117 YAXLEY ROAD AND MAGDALEN STREET, EYE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1117 Yaxley Road, Eye from the junction with Braiseworth Road to Magdalen Street and the B1117 Magdalen Street, Eye from Yaxley Road to the Community Hall to facilitate telecommunications pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1117, the B1118, the A140, the B1117 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/05/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN ON PART OF THE U5601 GOWER STREET, U5603 LITTLE WHIP STREET AND U5602 GREAT WHIP STREET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
• Phase 1:
- U5601 Gower Street, Ipswich at the junction with Little Whip Street
- U5603 Little Whip Street, Ipswich eastbound from Vernon Street to Great Whip Street
• Phase 2:
- U5601 Gower Street, Ipswich at the junction with Little Whip Street
- U5602 Great Whip Street, Ipswich eastbound from Little Whip Street for 50 metres northbound
- U5602 Great Whip Street, Ipswich from Little Whip Street for 30 metres southbound
- U5603 Little Whip Street, Ipswich eastbound from Vernon Street to Great Whip Street
This is to facilitate gas replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be:
• Little Whip Street: Vernon Street, Bridge Street, Dock Street, Great Whip Street and vice versa
• Gower Street: Dock Street, Great Whip Street, Vernon Street, Bridge Street, Dock Street, Great Whip Street and vice versa
• Great Whip Street: There is no diversion route.
For the duration of this closure there will also be a prohibition of left turn from the U5601 Gower Street, Ipswich onto Little Whip Street, Ipswich.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 06/06/2026 - 28/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C952 St James Road, Metfield from Brook Cottage for 30 metres northbound to facilitate telecommunications pole testing and tree cutting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be St James Road, Mill Road, Chediston Road, the B1123, Metfield Road, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/05/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2814 THE CAUSEWAY, MIDDLETON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2814 The Causeway, Middleton from 340 metres west of Mill Street for 70 metres westbound to facilitate utility works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, Mill Street, the B1122 Yoxford Road, Moore Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/05/2026 from 8am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C658 LOWER GREEN, HIGHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C658 Lower Green, Higham from A14 for the A1302/B1106 to B1506 W to Coalpit Lane to facilitate surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Coalpit Lane, Forest Heath, Higham, Coalpit Lane, Barrow Road, Colthorpe Lane, Denham Lane Barrow, Denham End, Barrow Road, Road from C659 to B1085, St Edmundsbury, Denham, Denham Road Dalham, Dalham Road Ousden, Denham Road, Lidgate Road, The Street, Gazeley Road, C655 from Dalham to Gazeley, Dalham Road, The Street, Higham Road Gazeley, Gazeley Road, Lower Green, Forest Heath, Higham and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/05/2026 - 30/05/2026 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH 15A, TUDDENHAM ST MARTIN
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 15A, Tuddenham St Martin at the railway crossing for safety reasons due to damaged steps. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
There is no diversion route.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 08/05/2026.
It is intended that the closure will operate until 07/11/2026.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (VARIOUS ROADS) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202_
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order for the Borough of Ipswich under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which would be to introduce:
• a 20mph speed limit to:
- both sides of Grove Lane (B1059), starting at a point 17.8m north of its junction with Kings Avenue (U2414) for an approximate distance of 496m to the boundary between nos. 70 and 72 Foxhall Rd (C322)
- both sides of Kings Avenue (U2414), from its junction with Grove Lane (B1059) for a distance of 9.1m in a westerly direction
- both sides of Finbars Walk (U2708), from its junction with Grove Lane (B1059) for a distance of 11.9m in an easterly direction
- both sides of Woodville Road (U2625), from its junction with Grove Lane (B1059) for a distance of 4.6m in an easterly direction
- both sides of Back Hamlet (U2415), from its junction with Grove Lane (B1059)/Foxhall Road (C322) for a distance of 19.4m in an easterly direction
- both sides of Wellesley Road (U2643), from its junction with Foxhall Road for a distance of 9.1m in an easterly direction
