Notice is hereby given that Longfield Solar Farm Limited (company number: 11618210) ('the Undertaker') of registered office Alexander House, 1 Mandarin Road, Rainton Business Park, Houghton Le Spring, Sunderland DH4 5RA is seeking to implement a temporary road closure between 3 June 2026 to 10 June 2026 in order to undertake surveys and vegetation removal to facilitate construction of Longfield Solar Farm.
Under Article 14 of the Longfield Solar Farm Order 2023, the Undertaker is required to provide at least 7 days' notice of these road closures in a newspaper circulating in the area in which the roads subject to closure are located.
To carry out the vegetation removal and survey works safely, some parts of the road network need to be temporarily closed to through-traffic during working hours (08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Saturday) on the following dates:
3 June 2026 to 10 June 2026:
Closure of Wheelers Hill and Cranham Road
Access will be maintained for residents, emergency service vehicles and pedestrians at all times during this period. Roads will be reopened outside of working hours.
