TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000150372633: The City of Manchester (Chorlton Road, Hulme Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the cycle lane on Chorlton Road, prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Chorlton Road, Adjacent to ALUK Motors. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate works to rebuild stop tap chamber. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st June 2026 to 3rd June 2026.
The order shall come into operation on 1st June 2026and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
