DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 SECTION 53

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 043 TURTON BRADSHAW-SOUTH) CONFIRMATION OF DEFINITIVE STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

On the 19th May 2026, the Borough Council of Bolton confirmed the above Order unopposed and without modifications.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Statement for the area by the addition of a width for Public Footpath No. 043 Turton Bradshaw South to 5.5 metres (18 feet) from its connection with Longsight Lane at SD 73946 11467 (point A on the Order plan) for a distance of approximately 110 metres to SD 74038 11527 (point B on the Order plan).

A copy of the Order may be viewed online at www.bolton.gov.uk and at the One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Bolton during office hours.

This Order became operative from 19th May 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity of the Order on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 of the Act have not been complied with in relation to it, he or she may, within 6 weeks from the 27th May 2026 make an application to the High Court under paragraph 12 of the said Schedule 15.
