Acresfield Road Area (Bus Route), Middleton
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Middleton Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-
Schedule No. 1.1
No Waiting at Any Time
Acresfield Road, North Middleton Ward
n(i) the southerly side in a north-easterly direction from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Rudyard Avenue to a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Rudyard Avenue n(ii) the southerly side in a north-easterly direction from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Hayfield Close to a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Hayfield Close
n(iii) the southerly side in a north-easterly direction from a point 10 metres south-west of its westerly junction with Guildford Grove to a point 10 metres north-east of its westerly junction with Guildford Grove
n(iv) the southerly side in a north-easterly direction from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Ashbourne Avenue to a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Ashbourne Avenue
n(v) the southerly side in a north-easterly direction from a point 107 metres north-east of its junction with Ashbourne Avenue to its easterly junction with Guildford Grove
Guildford Grove, North Middleton Ward
n(i) the westerly side from its easterly junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 23 metres in a southeasterly direction n(ii) the northerly side from a point 150 metres south-east of its easterly junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 28 metres in a south-westerly direction
n(iii) the northerly side from a point 106 metres south-east of its westerly junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south-easterly direction
n(iv) both sides from its westerly junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-easterly direction
Ashbourne Avenue, North Middleton Ward
n(i) both sides from its junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-easterly direction
Hayfield Close, North Middleton Ward
n(i) both sides from its junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-easterly direction
Rudyard Avenue, North Middleton Ward
n(i) both sides from its junction with Acresfield Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-easterly direction
A copy of the proposed Order and a plan showing the lengths of roads concerned, together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council's website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.
Objections to the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be made in writing and forwarded to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 18th June 2026, quoting H60/1447.
