RHODDIR RHYBUDD fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy wedi gwneud Gorchymyn, a’i effaith yw gwahardd unrhyw gerddwr rhag mynd ar hyd y darn hwnnw o lwybr troed cyhoeddus rhif 55 Betws y Coed i gyd, sy’n cychwyn o lwybr troed 45 yng nghyfeirnod grid SH 7924 5591 ac ymlaen i gyfeiriad y gorllewin am oddeutu 200 metr drwy’r goedwig i gyffordd â llwybr troed 57 yng nghyfeirnod grid SH 7912 5584.

Mae angen y Gorchymyn oherwydd peryglon tebygol i’r cyhoedd oherwydd pont anniogel a daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 1 Mehefin 2026. Disgwylir y bydd y llwybr troed ar gau nes bydd y gwaith y bwriedir ei wneud wedi ei gwblhau, ond am gyfnod o ddim mwy na 6 mis.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

Conwy County Borough Council (Footpath 55 Betws y Coed) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Conwy County Borough Council has made an Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian to proceed in the full length of public footpath No 55 Betws y Coed commencing from footpath 45 at grid reference SH 7924 5591 the path proceeds westerly for approximately 200 meters through forestry to its junction with footpath 57 at grid reference SH 7912 5584.

The Order is necessary for the reason of likelihood of danger to the public due to unsafe bridge and will come into effect on 1 June 2026. It is anticipated that the footpath will be closed until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, subject to a maximum period of 6 months.
