NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Alumbrook Avenue, Holmes Chapel
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Alumbrook Avenue, Holmes Chapel – For the full extent.
The alternative route will be via Alumbrook Avenue, Sandiford Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 15th June 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 26th June 2026.

Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and RESTRICTION OF Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (VARIOUS ROADS) (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Amendment No. 53) 2026 NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to: -
1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by;
i. Introducing Electric Vehicle Charging Places as outlined in
Schedule 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No.s DD109, DG109, DG110, DG112, DH110 and DR101 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.

Allen Place, Crewe
From a point 3m west of the Allen Place Substation building, for 29m in a westerly direction.
Henry Street, Crewe
From a point 89m west of Queen Street junction, for 23m in a westerly direction
Selworthy Drive, Crewe
From a point 100m south of Rigby Avenue junction, for 23m in a southerly direction
Richard Moon Street, Crewe
From a point 53m west of Richard Street junction, for 23m in a westerly direction.
Arnold Street, Nantwich
From a point 17m west of Barony Road junction, for 23m in a westerly direction.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2025
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 1 (PART) IN THE PARISH OF BASFORD NOW KNOWN AS PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.30 IN THE PARISH OF WESTON & CREWE GREEN)
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 1st December 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No.1 (part) in the Parish of Basford which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7212 5317 and runs in a generally southerly direction for approx. 43m to OSGR SJ 7213 5312.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while works are carried out constructing a new carriageway including drainage and utilities.
An alternative route is available on site.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2025
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 15 (PART) AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 21 IN THE PARISH OF WESTON & CREWE GREEN)
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 31st May 2028.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 15 (part) in the Parish of Weston and Crewe Green where it commences at the junction with Footpath No. 16 at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7414 5317 and runs in a generally north easterly direction for approx.
656m to the junction with Footpath No. 21. That length of Public Footpath No. 21 in the Parish of Weston and Crewe Green which commences at OSGR SJ 7462 5356 and runs in a generally north easterly direction for approx. 509m to OSGR SJ 7505 5384.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by an unsafe bridge and it will continue in force until the works required to the bridge are completed.
