Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 22 May 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of London Road (D3586) Bagshot.
There is no alternative route for this closure. Under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
This Order is required to enable Affinity Water to facilitate water main repairs and associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 8 June 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026
On 27 May 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and Section 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to this Notice; (b) suspend the Order imposing a weight restriction in the entire length of A3046 High Street, Chobham only insofar as it relates to such prohibition.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works, fine milling works and/or carriageway surfacing/treatment works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 May 2026.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
For Schedule 1: Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
For Schedule 2 (fine milling works): Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

1. that length of D13 School Lane, Bagshot which extends from its junction with D12 Chapel Lane to its junction with D525 Chantry Road. Alternative Route – D525 Chantry Road, D525 Lambourne Drive and D12 Chapel Lane;
2. the entire length of D518 Catena Rise, Lightwater. There is no diversion route available for this closure;
3. that length of D21 Hook Mill Lane, Lightwater which extends from its junction with C4 Broadway Road to its junction with D21 Burnt Pollard Lane/D21 Rye Grove. Alternative Route – C4 Broadway Road, C4 Thorndown Lane, C4 Woodlands Lane and D21 Rye Grove;
4. that length of A319 Bagshot Road, Chobham which extends from Gordon Boys Roundabout to Clappers Lane (west entrance). Alternative Route – Gordon Boys Roundabout, A322 Guildford Road, C12 Limecroft Road, C11 Chobham Road, C11 Guildford Road, C11 Castle Grove Road, A3046 High Street Chobham and A319 Bagshot Road;
5. that length of D3505 Clewborough Drive, Camberley which extends from its junction with D3505 Fairway Heights to its junction with D3506 Roundway. Alternative Route – D3505 Azalea Way and D3506 Roundway;

1. that length of B3015 Deepcut Bridge Road, Deepcut which extends from its junction with D3488 Old Bisley Road to its junction with B3012 Guildford Road. Alternative Route – B3015 The Maultway, B311 Upper Chobham Road, A325 Portsmouth Road, B3411 Grove Cross Road, B3411 Frimley Green Road and B3012 Guildford Road
