Temporary Closure of Chilson Common
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Chilson Common - from 318 metres south-east of the junction with Fosse Way, south-eastwards for a total distance of 161 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement works. The Order becomes effective on 27th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 2nd June 2026 and last until 2nd June 2026 between the hours of 09:00 - 16:00 for a total of 7 hours. There is no alternative route for this closure.
