(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of a) Barton Road, Harlington between numbers 69 to 107
b) Goswell End Road, Harlington from outside number 150 to Barton Road junction.
This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement and overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 24 June 2026 between the hours of 0800am and 1800pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via
a) Harlington Road, Sharpenhoe Road, Sundon Road, Streatley Road, Harlington Road, Sundon Road,Barton Road and vice versa.
b) G owell End Road to use Goswell End Road, Westoning Road, Barton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. For further information please contact Avidety – 0845747999.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Summer Street and New Street, Slip End.
This temporary closure is required to enable Footway resurfacing Works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place between the dates 22 June and 17 July between the hours of 0800-1800hrs. and 0800 to 1300hrs on Saturdays.
The alternative route for this closure is via Front St, B4540 and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of
1. Church Street, Dunstable between Kingsway and Duck Bridge.
2. Station Road, Dunstable between Stokers Close and Church St.
3. Luton Road, Dunstable between Church Street and Luton Road Service Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable civils and resurfacing work with paco and lining to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing. It is expected that the works will take place from 22 June to 3 July 2026. Between the hours of 2000 and 0700hrs The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for Church Street/Luton Road is via A5505, A5, Watling St, A505, High St North, Church St and vice versa.
The alternative route for Station Road will be via Great Northern Road, A5183 and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Byslips Road, Studham between The Glades and jct with Oldhill Wood.
This temporary closure is required to enable fire hydrant repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 11 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Clayhall Rd, B4540, Dunstable Rd, Byslips Rd and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ridgeway Drive, Dunstable outside number 2.
This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 12 June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Ridgeway Drive, Ridgeway Avenue, Western Way and vice versa.
