What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.
FAIRWAY ROAD, SHEPSHED
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 24/06/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.
The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake repair or replacement of a defective manhole frame & cover.
The proposed diversion route will be via: Fairway Rd, Fairway Rd South, Leicester Rd, Forest St, Fairway Rd & vice versa.
SCHEDULE 1
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
Fairway Rd, Shepshed for approx. 15m either side of the Jct with Wicklow Cl.
BREACHFIELD ROAD, BARROW UPON SOAR
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 22/06/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.
The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 week to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT Openreach to undertake telecoms ducting works.
The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The Order will come into force on 08/06/2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 18 months to allow HG Construction Ltd to undertake works on the new Fusion Student Accommodation Development.

The Order will come into force on 08/06/2026 and have a maximum duration of 12 months.
The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 weeks to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway repair works.
The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The Order will come into force on 07/06/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months.
The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 week to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT Openreach to undertake telecoms pole replacement works.
The proposed diversion route will be via: Thorpe Rd, Grange Rd & vice versa.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Park Rd, Epinal Wy, Beacon Rd & vice versa.
