THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (LITTLE PONTON, LINCOLNSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A1 Trunk Road, at Little Ponton in the County of Lincolnshire, to allow resurfacing works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from –
(1) entering or proceeding through the gap in the central reservation of the A1 opposite its junction with Whalebone Lane, at Little Ponton;
(2) making a right turn from the northbound carriageway of the A1 through the gap in the central reservation opposite its junction with Whalebone Lane, at Little Ponton.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 22 June 2026 and continue for eight nights.
The Order will come into force on 15 June 2026. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the prohibitions.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A1 will be signed.
