BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(SMITHY BRIDGE ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH (4))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Smithy Bridge Road from a point 15 metres north west of the level crossing for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe annual testing of the Railway Level Crossing.
The Order will be operative from 00:10 on the 31st May 2026 until 05:30 on the 31st May 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow Road (Littleborough), Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Bridge Street, Rochdale Road, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Albert Royds Street, Halifax Road (A58), Smithy Bridge Road & vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Both sides of Bolton Road from its junction with Marland Fold for a distance of 150 metres in a south westerly direction.
The Order is required to maintain the free flow of traffic along Bolton Road during the times that the event is being held.
The Order will be operative from 06:00 until 11:30 on the 27th May 2026.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Exmouth Street from its junction with Oldham Road for a distance of 11 metres
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Exmouth Street from its junction with Oldham Road for a distance of 11 metres.
The Order is required to facilitate Reset Manhole frame and cover within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 19:00 on the 15th June 2026 until 22:00 on the 15th June 2026.
There is no alternative route for vehicles.
(LITTLEBOROUGH FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL 2026)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND TEMPORARY ONE-WAY WORKING ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
a) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along: -
i. Hare Hill Road, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Greenwood Street,
ii. Hare Hill Road, in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Sale Street junction with Greenwood Street,
iii. Victoria Street, from its junction with Lodge Street to its junction with Wellington Street,
b) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along: -
i. Hare Hill Road, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Sale Street
ii. Victoria Street from its junction with Lodge Street to its junction with Wellington Street,
c) Temporarily suspend those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Pennines Township) Order 2008 along those sections Highway specified in the temporary prohibition of waiting at any time in this order.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Littleborough Food and Drink Festival 2026.
The Prohibition of Vehicles Order and One-Way Working Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 13th June 2026.
The Prohibition of Waiting Order will be operative from 11:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 13th June 2026.
The alternative route for Hare Hill Road will be via Church Street, Featherstall Road, Whitelees Road, Hare Hill Road and vice versa.
Any other alternative routes available will be signed on street when the closures are in operation.
(BOWLAND GROVE, MILNROW)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES & TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Bowland Grove, Milnrow from its junction with Beechfield Road.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Bowland Grove, Milnrow from its junction with Beechfield Road for a distance of 19 metres in a southerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe installation of a flow monitor in the chamber within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 10:00 on the 15th June 2026 until 14:00 on the 15th June 2026 or before then if the works are completed sooner.
Access/egress will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
