The City of Newcastle upon Tyne Traffic Regulation (Consolidation) Order 2009 (Leazes Park Road Variation TROMV01) Order 2026

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which amends the City of Newcastle upon Tyne Traffic Regulation (Consolidation) Order 2009 (“the 2009 Consolidation Order”).

2. The effect of the proposed Order is to introduce a Contraflow cycle lane on Leazes Park Road from its junction with Percy Street to its junction with Strawberry Place.

The proposed contraflow cycle lane seeks to provide a direct link between the Queen Victoria Road cycle provision and the city centre.

If you wish to object to, or make other representations about, the proposal specified in this Notice or any of its provisions you should send your objection or representation by 18th June 2026 quoting reference TROMV01 to Newcastle Parking Services, P.O. Box 2BL, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 2BL, or by email to traffic.notices@newcastle.gov.uk Any objection or representation MUST be made in writing and where an objection is made, it must state the grounds of the objection.
