THE A500 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR TUNSTALL, STOKE-ON-TRENT) (SLIP ROADS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A500 Trunk Road, near Tunstall in the City of Stoke-on-Trent, to allow the removal of debris and litter picking works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at different times -
(a) the slip road leading to the northbound carriageway of the A500, from its roundabout junction with the A527 and Chemical Lane;
(b) the slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of the A500, to the roundabout described in (a) above.
The work will be carried out during the day between 06:00 hours and 18:00 hours and is expected to start on Sunday 21 June 2026. The Order will come into force on 15 June 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
Diversion routes via the A34 and the B5370 will be signed.
