TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
CRUDHALL LANE, BIELBY
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on
foot/whether on foot or pedal cycle along Crudhall
Bridge, Crudhall Lane, Bielby commencing 1 June 2026
between 09.30 hours until 15.30 hours to allow
works for a bridge assessment and other investigation
works at Crudhall Bridge, Crudhall Lane, Bielby.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
Crudhall Lane, Bielby works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within 12 days. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the Order is via York Road and
Bielby Lane, Pocklington CP, Hayton CP, Bielby CP,
Pocklington Provincial Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain
open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access
to properties directly affected by the closure and for
emergency services. The Order will commence 1 June
2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
eighteen months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from
