Castle Green, Cottingham - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
CASTLE GREEN, COTTINGHAM (WHOLE EXTENT)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Castle Green, Cottingham (whole extent) on 15,16 and 20 June 2026 (between 20.00 hours and 05.00 hours) to complete a telecom pole installation.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given dates.
There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure. (Access will not be possible due to the nature of the works).
