(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (A26-077)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Kirkby in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield and Mansfield in the District of Mansfield
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
Derby Road, Kirkby in Ashfield - From its junction with Derby Road, Mansfield to its junction with Diamond Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield
Derby Road, Mansfield - From its junction with Nottingham Road, Mansfield to its junction with Derby Road, Kirkby in Ashfield
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
Derby Road, Kirkby in Ashfield - From its junction with Derby Road, Mansfield to its junction with Diamond Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield
Derby Road, Mansfield - From its junction with Nottingham Road, Mansfield to its junction with Derby Road, Kirkby in Ashfield
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00, Monday 8th June 2026
Until 06:00, Saturday 13th June 2026 nightly.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
North - Coxmoor Road - Kings Mill Road East - Sherwood
Way South - Nottingham Road
South - Blidworth Road - Coxmoor Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 8th June 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out carriageway resurfacing works;
