SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Kennedy Way, Chipping Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Kennedy Way which extends from Normandy Drive to Heron Way. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge removal works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: A432 (part unaffected), B4059, Peg Hill, B4060, St Johns Way, A432 (part unaffected) and vice versa.

(Mill Lane, Upton Cheyney) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Mill Lane which extends from Golden Valley Lane eastwards for 20m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water supply works. The order became operative from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with coloured surfacing works. The order became operative from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Factory Road which extends from The Gully southwards for 22m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon telecom ducting works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 3 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Salem Road, Watleys End Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Court Road which extends from California Road eastwards for 235m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with fibre overhead cabling works. The order became operative from 4 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Alternative route: California Road, Shellards Road, A431 Bath Road, Cherry Gardens, A4175 Barry Road, West Street and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Peache Road and Northcote Road which extends from Westerleigh Road to St. James Street. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works. The order became operative from 5 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between 7:30am and 4pm. Alternative route: Westerleigh Road, Blackhorse Road, Richmond Road, Northcote Road (part unaffected) and vice versa.

(Churchend Lane, Charfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Churchend Lane which extends from a point 180m north of Devil’s Lane northwards for 180m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with stop tap replacement works. The order will be operative from 22 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon cabling works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 22 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 nights duration, between 9pm and 6am. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new duct and box installation works on or adjacent to the highway. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon overhead telecoms works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 23 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 10pm and 6am. Alternative route: A432, A4017, A420, A4174.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Station Road slip road which extends from Jubilee Road south eastwards for 25m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with gas main replacement works. The order will be operative from 23 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 10 days duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with fibre cabling works. The order will be operative from 24 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Ingst Road which extends from a point 660m south west of Aust Road north westwards for 100m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon structure repair works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 24 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Footpaths Network Hamble Close to Spey Close which extends from a point outside property No.41 Hamble Close to a point outside property No.43 Hamble Close, a distance of 16m.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon accessing existing box and laying duct to provide fibre cabling. The order will be operative from 25 June 2026 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 5pm.
