The East Sussex (U2131 Lushington Lane,
Eastbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Lushington Lane – from the junction with U2131 Cornfield Road Service Road to the junction with A259 Gildredge Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 27 May 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 29 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2134 Terminus Road, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:
Temporary Road Closure
Terminus Road – from the junction with U2144 Pevensey Road to the junction with U2145 Burlington Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 26 May 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 14 April 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 5 May 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 26 and 29 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A259 Seaside Road/Trinity Trees, Eastbourne)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which continues temporarily to close the following length of road:
Temporary Road Closure
Seaside Road/Trinity Trees – from the junction with U2138 Trinity Place to the junction with U2145 Elms Avenue.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Memorial roundabout, South Street, Gildredge Road, Ashford Road, Susans Road, Seaside Road.
The Order commences 26 May 2026 and is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice dated 14 April 2026 and a Temporary Successive Notice dated 5 May 2026 under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the closure will be in place between 26 and 29 May 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.
