What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Ashcott Temporary Closure of Pedwell Hill
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Pedwell Hill - from the junction with Taunton Road to the junction with Pedwell Lane. A total distance of 513 metres.
This Order will enable National Grid to carry out overhead cabling works.
The Order becomes effective on 9th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th June 2026 and last until 19th June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 - 19:00 for a total of 5 days.
