What is happening?
Warwickshire County Council
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:
A429 ST JOHNS, A429 SMITH STREET, A429 COVENTRY ROAD,
A445 PRIORY ROAD AND A445 COTEN END, WARWICK
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works for carriageway surfacing, closed 08.00hrs-17.00hrs, Sundays only.
Order Commences: 24 May 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 21 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: Diversion routes will be appropriately signed. Access maintained to adjacent properties only, where possible. Closures will be completed in phases to keep disruption to a minimum and to allow access for businesses and residents.

DORMER PLACE, LEAMINGTON SPA
Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic. In addition, vehicular traffic will be prohibited from making a Right Turn from Adelaide Road on to Dormer Place.
Reason for Order: To enable telegraph pole replacement works.
Order Commences: 25 May 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 25 May 2026.
Access & Diversion: Adelaide Road, Dale Street, Regent Street, Portland Street, Portland Place East, Augusta Place and vice versa. Contractor: Quantum TM Ltd, Tel: 01724 786 286.
WEDGNOCK LANE, WARWICK
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic. In addition, vehicular traffic will be prohibited from making a Right Turn from A425 onto Wedgnock Lane.
Reason for Order: To enable works to clear and repair blockages.
Order Commences: 25 May 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 27 May 2026.
Access & Diversion: Birmingham Road, Warwick Bypass, A46, Coventry Road, Primrose Hill, Wedgnock Lane.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH FROM COVENTRY ROAD TO CAPE ROAD, WARWICK
Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic.
Reason for Order: To safely enable delivery of plant and construction materials.

Anticipated Completion: 31 May 2026.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to install new gas connection.
Order Commences: 26 May 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 29 May 2026.
Access & Diversion: Trinity Street, Beauchamp Road, Beauchamp Avenue, Binswood Street and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Works to trial holes to locate services.
Order Commences: 26 May 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: Hatton Green, Hockley Road, Birmingham Road and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Water mains renewal works.
Order Commences: 11 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 1 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Back Lane, Shrewley Common, Old Warwick Road, Finwood Road, Mill Lane, New Roa and vice versa.

CROWN STREET, HARBURY
Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Telegraph pole replacement works.
Order Commences: 10 June 2026 for up to 18 months.

Access & Diversion: Crown Street, Half Lane, Ufton Road, Bush Heath Road, Vicarage Lane and vice versa.

Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic.
Reason for Order: Footpath reconstruction and associated works.
Order Commences: 8 June 2026 for up to 6 months.
Anticipated Completion: 15 June 2026.
Access & Diversion: Dencer Drive, Wordsworth Drive and vice versa.

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic, Sundays only as follows:
07/06/2026, 21/06/2026,12/07/2026 and 26/07/2026.
Reason for Order: To enable essential maintenance works.
Order Commences: 7 June 2026 for up to 18 months.
Anticipated Completion: 26 July 2026.
Access & Diversion: Warwick Street, Russell Street, Clarendon Avenue and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times.
