What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Temporary Closure of Walrow Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Walrow Road - from the junction with Henley Way, westwards for a total distance of 148 metres. This Order will enable BB Rail to carry out gap repair works, de-vegetation and inspection works on behalf Network Rail.
The Order becomes effective on 26th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th June 2026 and last until 14th June 2026 between the hours of 22:00 - 08:00 for a total of 8 nights.
