Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:-

The Isle of Wight Council (Kingston Road, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Monday 01 June 2026, and Friday 05 June 2026, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Kingston Road, Shorwell. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between either 0600 and 1800 hours or 1800 and 0600 hours, for approx. 1-15 days, between Friday 29 May 2026 and Friday 10 July 2026, or when the works has been completed, the one-way restriction will be Reversed between its junction with St James Square and its junction with South Street in an Easterly direction. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the Reversal. The restriction is required for works in the area for Footway Resurfacing.

No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. The Isle of Wight Council (Hale Common, Arreton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Restriction) Order No 1 2026 – Hale Common, Arreton will be Restricted to 30mph. starting 50 metres south-east of Watery Lane to its junction of Arreton Bridleway 20, Arreton.

No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following footpaths: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. The Isle of Wight Council (South Street, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – South Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.
