(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND CLEARWAY) ORDER 2026
ELSTOB LANE, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
- No stopping at any time (clearway); and
- the prohibition of the driving of vehicles on
ELSTOB LANE
From a point approximately 200 metres south of the access to Mount Pleasant Farm northwards to the south side of the access to Viewley Hill Farm
An alternative route will be signed via C46 Elstob Lane to C37, C37 Bishopton to Great Stainton and vice versa.
The Order is necessary to allow road surfacing work.
The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 15th June 2026. It is anticipated that it will be effective for 2 weeks.
